My Work

These paintings are just a selection of my work that will give you a feel for my style. Although I have painted many birds, I am always playing with different subject matter and surfaces - i.e. canvas, re-cycled wood, slate, metal or timber panels.  What has remained unchanged (at the moment) is painting with acrylics.

Lions and lionesses are so beautiful they make irresistable subjects. She was painted on board using acrylics. The black background was a super flat non-reflective coating.

Wild Thing. You make my heart sing.

This beautiful, majestic couple are painted on canvas using acrylic. They  were an absolute joy to paint  for two very special people who have decided  that this piece of art is destined to hang above their bed. It measures 120cms X 60cms.

I'm originally Scottish, so it would be remiss of me not to include a Scottish icon. Painted on board using acrylics.

 Owl on slate

This very old roof tile presented a bit of a challenge, but I enjoyed it.  Acrylic on slate.

Akhenaton

Just a bit of fun - but I think Akhenaton looks great on a piece of antique slate.
